What "Royalty Free Music" Means:

Jeffrey's music is "royalty free" in the sense that we don't build points into our agreements. In other words, if your project is wildly successful, you don't have to give us any of the profits. However, our music is not "production" or "stock" music. If you're using it for anything other than private enjoyment, you must purchase a license along with the music itself. Fortunately we've made doing this easy and affordable!

Jeffrey Michael and Fireheart Music offers music licensing under 5 different license types: Please read below to find the license that suits your project.

License A: Limited Music License

Very small, independent project, personal website (one site), internet video (YouTube, MySpace, Google Video, MetaCafe etc), corporate video/presentation, educational, shareware/freeware game, single location music-on-hold, podcast, student film and student film festivals. (less than 100 copies manufactured) - No Distribution

Example: Wedding Photography Slideshow, Student Film, (Internal use)

License B: Standard Music License

Grants permission for most commercial uses, including products for sale or give away up to 3,000 copies, commercial web site (one site)*,trade show/presentation, Up to 15 locations of music-on-hold, podcast, film festivals. You may sell up to 3,000 physical products or downloadable products that contain the music.

License C: Mass Market Music License

A license for mass market commercial use. It grants all rights included in Licenses A and B, plus national and world wide radio/TV broadcast, multiple location music-on-hold and theatrical release license. You may sell an unlimited amount of physical products or downloadable products that contain the music.

Example: Feature Film in theaters, Background Music on a Guided Meditation CD, Music used in a National Car Commercial, etc

License D: Compilation Music License (CD, DVD and Computer Audio)

This license allows you to redistribute and resell CDs, DVDs or other media containing the entire song or an entire album. For example, this can be used to make a rebranded CD for sale in your store or through traditional CD distribution, or a promotional giveaway with your company's information on it. Based on number of units manufactured.

Example: If Bath and Bodyworks licenses Jeffrey's CD, changes the artwork and calls it "Bubble Bath Music" and includes it in a gift basket or for sale on its own.

License E: Giveaway Promotions Music License

This license can be used by companies and corporations to duplicate Jeffrey's music onto CDs for give away as promotional items, gifts to customers and business contacts, etc.

Example: Ford Motor Company puts 12 tracks of Jeffrey's music on a CD with their logo and branding and gives them away to all their employees as Christmas gifts.

Jeffrey Michael and Fireheart Music own all the legal rights to the music, and the music license you will receive contains a provision indemnifying you of legal liability in that regard. We have licensed our music to hundreds of projects.You can rest assured that buying a license from us will get you in the clear, and we're happy to physically sign a purchased music license so that you have a hard copy as proof.
